Electrostatic Precipitator Lab

Ohio University has a state-of-the-art ESP apparatus. Its length is about 6 m, with the main section dimensions: 2.1 x 1.8 x 1.2 m. It can operate at both room and high temperatures (150 oC). The gas flow is maintained by a 120,000-cfm fan. It is equipped with a 70 kV/400 mA switch mode power supply (NWL Inc.) TR unit and the VibraScrew Inc. dust feeder, as well as the corresponding measuring equipment, such as a Differential Mobility Particle-Size Analyzer (TSI DMPS 3071) and condensation nuclei counter (TSI CNC 3022), HP motion signal analyzer, pneumatic and sonic horn rappers etc.
