In order to be admitted in the program you must meet certain qualifications. |

Be a first generation college student (neither parent attended college) and be income eligible (as defined by the Department of Education) OR |

Be a member of underrepresented minority group (African American, Hispanic, Native American) . |

> |
Enrolled in Ohio University or transferring to Ohio University. |
| |
> |
Maintain a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA. |
| |
> |
Have at least a sophomore standing and 60 credit hours. |
| |
> |
Be a US citizen or permanent resident who displays promise for doctoral study. |
