In addition to the natural beauty of the tree-covered hills of southeastern Ohio, Athens offers safe neighborhoods, good schools, and residents who look forward to building relationships with people of all cultures.  Athens has a vibrant Indian community that mainly consists of students from India and also some Indian families settled in Athens.  The Indian students organization (ISA) is a socio-cultural organization which provides a platform for the students to interact with each other by organizing various cultural activities during many different festivals.  The ISA promotes awareness about Indian traditions, art and dance forms and strives to create the environment of a "home" away from home.
