Another year of AppalCORPS has begun and I am very excited to join such a successful, proactive program filled with wonderful members and service opportunities! This year we have eight returning members and 22 newcomers. Everyone has been doing an outstanding job with tutoring and organizing service projects, dedicating their time to helping the children in their communities.
I encourage anyone interested in the AppalCORPS program (as a member or community partner) to browse the website, specifically the program calendar, service projects, and newsletter sections. These links provide valuable information on how AppalCORPS is continuously promoting literacy throughout Athens, Belmont, Monroe, and Scioto counties.
