Et cetera
Greetings from Ohio University's OPIE.
In 1999, I began teaching English to immigrants in
Tennessee and have been involved in intercultural education and ESL
ever since. Over the years I have lived and taught English in Jordan,
China, Thailand, and Japan. I have also traveled extensively around
other parts of Asia including Vietnam. In the field of English language
teaching, I have served as EAP instructor, teacher trainer and program
coordinator in a variety of universities & non-profit programs.
I have also had the privilege of advising university students and
working with students in extracurricular activities such as drama. No
doubt that these years of living and working abroad have been truly
rewarding and have made me a better person and professional. I am
fortunate to have gone on all of these amazing adventures along side my
husband who is also a university English language teacher.
Now my journey has led me to OPIE and I sincerely look
forward to working with you all.
