Introduction

After many rewarding years as instructor and cross-cultural coordinator in OPIE, I became director of the Ohio Program of English Language Teaching (OPELT) at Chubu University in 2005.  I have also studied and worked abroad in Spain, Paraguay, Portugal, Germany, and Indonesia.  My professional interests include EFL/ESL teaching and learning, cross-cultural issues, international student affairs, and testing.  I expect to return to OPIE by 2011.  Visitors wishing to know more about OPELT can check our website at opelt.lc.chubu.ac.jp or contact me via email (millerp1@ohio.edu)
