Et Cetera
I've been working at Ohio University since
1985; before that, I'd spent two years at the University of Kansas and
another seven at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne,
Switzerland. I got into language teaching rather by accident; my first
love was painting, my undergraduate degree was in fine arts, and my
first job within the field was as an illustrator of language lessons.
I was OPIE's Computer-Assisted Language
Learning (CALL) Coordinator for many years and was the manager of the
this site. I was also president of the Athens, Ohio Macintosh Users' Group.

French language, film, photography, painting,
basketball, petanque, music, my
