WHAT WE ARE

Our primary purpose is to work with students one-on-one to improve their writing skills so that they can become more competent and self-confident writers. We will NOT provide editing or proofreading services, though we will be happy to address mechanical and grammatical questions within a tutoring session.

WHERE WE ARE

We are located in Gordy Hall rooms 142 and 156.

WHEN YOU COME

You should bring a tutoring question sheet that you filled out with questions about your essay, a copy of the assignment, and any additional texts pertaining to the assignment. Also, please bring a working draft of the assignment.

ABOUT OUR STAFF

Our tutoring staff is made up of graduate students from the English Department, some OPIE faculty members and undergraduate journalism students who are familiar with college-level ESL writing problems and ways to solve them.
