Sakura Matsuri

Japanese Student Association (JSA) are currently working on the preparation of Sakura Matsuri (Cherry-blossom festival, appreciating beautiful Sakura)on April 9. Tentative schedule is the following (the fixed information will be announced later). JSA are looking for OU students who can help this event. This is good opportunity for you to interact Japanese speaking people and use some Japanese!

* When? --- Saturday, April 9, 2005 probably around noon - 4pm.
* Where? --- TBA (Ping center if it rains)
* What? ---
o some entertainment on the stage: Japaense traditional dance, marshal arts, etc.
o tables for introducing Japanese cultural stuff: calligraphy, Japanese traditional games, tea
ceremony, Kimono, etc.

We need students interested in

1. Japanese dancing (Soran bushi) > contact Yuki (oak ID: yg150604)
We'll perform Japanese SORAN BUSHI, which is originated from fishermen's dance. If you are interested in dancing, come to join us! We'll have several practice sessions soon. You're responsible for practicing dance!
2. Japanese quiz show > contact Tomoko (oak ID: tn225102)
We'll have fun quiz show which involve lots of audience in the festival, and need some help for arranging the show.
3. Stage setting > contact Ryo (oak ID: rw221402)
We need people who help for taking care of BGM, setting the stage, arranging tab les and chairs, etc.
4. Introducing Japanese games > contact Yumiko (oak ID: yk114103)
We need people who help to prepare Japanese balloon before the festival and take care of them in the festival.
