Composition 1

Due Date:    Thursday, October 15

Topic:    "My Best (Worst) Travel" or "My Dream Travel"

Length:   Mimimum 3 double-spaced pages on composition papers (given by the instructor)

Overall Organization:

        I.     Introduction

Give a general statement about the travel which you are going to describe in the composition.

        II.    Body

Describe the travel chronologically. Give detailed information on transportation, accomodation, sightseeing, people, and interesting anecdotes as well as your thoughts and feelings about the trip.

        III.    Conclusion

Give a concluding statement. (For instance, do you want to visit the same place again? If so, with whom, when, how, etc.?)

        8.    Accuracy of Grammar (4):    Particles, Word Order, Verb/Adjective Forms,
                                                                Sentence Structure (simple vs. complex sentences)

        9.    Variety (4):    Variety of Vocabulary and Grammatical Structures

#Use the textbooks (vol. 1 and vol. 2) to check on grammatical structures and sentence patterns that convey the meanings you want to communicate. For the vocabulary on traveling, refer to Chapter 1 of the second volume.

#Your instructor will ask you write at least two preliminary drafts. (Each submission counts for 5 points.)  You should take advantage of those opportunities to improve your writing toward a final draft.
