Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ College of Engineering and Technology, where we create for good. Our graduates, faculty, and staff are eclectic professionals and academics whose work improves the world around them.

Educationally, we offer traditional engineering and technology disciplines, and world-class research, embedded in a diverse liberal arts institution, on a beautiful campus. It’s our liberal arts environment that makes us special, that attracts and supports students, faculty, and staff who are dedicated to improving the world, for the future, for good.

Whether you find your place as a first-year student in a Learning Community, or as a researcher in or sponsor of our strategic research areas of air and ground transportation, energy and the environment, and bioengineering, you’ll find experts offering hands-on collaboration to help you define how you will create for good. If you’re a Russ College grad, you’re already out there doing it.

We welcome you to take a look around. Make connections or reconnect. Ask questions and share your story. We’re proud of this place, and we want you to be a part of it if you’re not already.

Sincerely,

Dennis Irwin, Ph.D., P.E.
