Stonewall Leadership Award
The Stonewall Leadership Award was instituted in 2001 to recognize outstanding student leaders who have made a significant contribution to improve the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender people at Ohio University. The award is named in recognition of the 1969 LGBT rights riots at the Stonewall Inn in New York City that have come to signify the start of the modern LGBT Equality Movement.
