Dine & Discuss
Three times a quarter we offer a chance to enjoy a pizza lunch as we welcome a speaker to lead a discussion on LGBT topics and issues. Skills for a Queer Life is the theme for2007-08. This noon-time event is held in the LGBT Center.Check out the CALENDAR of events for dates, time and details.

The Lesbian Lectures
Offered twice a quarter, this series is designed to specifically focus on the lives, loves and interests of lesbians. The title is a bit misleading, as the format is usually something other than a lecture: discussion, activity, slide show, etc. Checkout the CALENDAR of events for dates, time and details.

LGBT Book Club
Each quarter we will offer a LGBT related book to read and host a discussion. We supply copies of the book to 14 OU students and others are welcome to purchase their own copy and join us. The facilitated discussions last 2 hours with pizza and refreshments provided. Email lgbt@ohio.edu to be added to the announcement  list.

TRANSITIONS: Transgender Support Group
Transgender individuals ranging from those who are questioning their gender identity to those who need practical help and support in changing their name, seeking medical treatment, communicating with family members, and adjusting to the change in their gender identity on campus and elsewhere can benefit from this support group. ‘Orientation’ Orientation
This program is held during the first weeks of Fall Quarter to welcome students new to OU to the LGBTA Community. The program covers the services and programs of the LGBT Center, the activities of LGBTA organizations, and the past, present and future of our community. Additionally, Athens area resources are reviewed.

Community Celebration & Pride Graduation
Each Spring Quarter we close out the year by congratulating our LGBTA graduates at this event that began rather informally in 2000. Since then this program has grown into a celebration of all that was accomplished during the year. Check out the CALENDAR for the date and details.

Additional Programs
We offer a variety of one time and special programs throughout the year and assist the LGBTA organizations in hosting OUT Week and PRIDE Week speakers, programs and events.
