INVOLVEMENTS AT OU:
I am a resident assistant and I am a member of ALD
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT or TO BE AN ALLY?
I think it is important to be an ally because everyone deserves to be accepted and treated with love and respect. Just because someone is different does not mean they deserve to be ostracized. It does not matter if you are straight or gay, no one should have to fear being themselves.
WHY ARE YOU “PROUD”? WHAT ARE YOU MOST “PROUD” OF?
I am proud of standing up for what I believe in and standing up for my friends. I have many friends who are gay and struggling, I am proud to support them, and to show them they are loved.
COMMENTS:
The LGBT Programs Center is a great place to become involved with on this campus. So many people out there need support, we should all work on giving it to them.
