WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT or TO BE AN ALLY?
If I can be there for one person who is struggling with their sexuality, than I have achieved my goal, since I too have been there. I know how hard it is, I want to show people it’s alright. Gay is not who you are—it is just a part of who you are.

WHY ARE YOU “PROUD”?  WHAT ARE YOU MOST “PROUD” OF?
I am proud of who I am. I believe I was made in God’s image and that I am who I am supposed to be. I am a lesbian whose faith in God grows stronger each day.

WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF COMING OUT?
Coming out to my parents (I had to came out to them 2 different times) and dealing with the consequences of having a part of my life they don’t understand.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHO COME OUT?
To stay strong, they are not alone, and that the people who love them for who they are and not who they pretend to be are keepers.
