WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT?:
Sometimes the voices of LGBT people are silenced. Allies are so important to us because they help our voices to be heard. They are our friends, protectors and loved ones. They are the ones who will fight for us when others will not.
WHY ARE YOU PROUD?:
I'm proud to be the only me in 7 billion people. There's something empowering in knowing that you are distinctly unique.
WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART ABOUT COMING OUT?:
Telling my best friend was the most difficult part of coming out. I was so scared that she would run in the opposite direction after she knew, but instead, she embraced me and loved me for who I am.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHO COME OUT?:
Love yourself. If you are proud of who you are, other people will be proud of you too, no matter who you love, or how you identify.
THOUGHTS FOR NON-LGBT PEOPLE ABOUT LGBT PEOPLE AND CONCERNS:
Accept those around you for who they are, and they will accept you in turn.
