WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT?
I'm out because it's good for me. Not to sound selfish but I didn't tell my family for anyone else, I did it for me. I couldn't live a lie. I think there are people out there who are living lies, and maybe my being out will help them find themselves and step out of that closet.
WHY ARE YOU “PROUD”? WHAT ARE YOU MOST “PROUD” OF?
I'm most proud of my mom, dad and brother, all who have never made me feel uncomfortable about my sexuality.
WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF COMING OUT?
The worrying and anticipating the worst before you even get to the point of coming out.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHO COME OUT?
Make sure you tell a friend when you're going to tell your family. That way you will have support if things get bad.
THOUGHTS FOR NON-LGBT PEOPLE ABOUT LGBT PEOPLE AND CONCERNS:
LGBT people are just like any other people. We have our good and bad days. Don't let one bad experience ruin your perception of all of us.
