WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE AN ALLY?
Personally, I believe it is important that all people are treated with dignity and respect. As the Vice President for Student Affairs, it is of the utmost importance to me to be an Ally so all OHIO students know that I represent their voices and concerns.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THOSE WHO COME OUT?
I encourage students who are thinking about coming out to seek out the resources that our campus can offer them and create a support network of friends and allies.
THOUGHTS FOR NON-LGBT PEOPLE ABOUT LGBT PEOPLE AND CONCERNS:
The oppression of any group in society weakens the fabric of who we are as a collective citizenry. Be an ally and stand up for the rights of others, never doubt that one person can make a difference.
