WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT?
It's important to be out because I believe living in the closet is basically the equivalent of living in fear. When people live in fear they cannot truly be themselves, and if you cannot be yourself, then what is the point of living?

WHY ARE YOU “PROUD”?  WHAT ARE YOU MOST “PROUD” OF?
I am most proud that I am so comfortable with my sexuality. There was a long period of time that I was out, but was not completely comfortable. I felt somewhat inhibited because I was not completely comfortable. With a little time, however, I have become comfortable being myself and I could not be happier.
WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF COMING OUT?
Dealing with family and friends’ reactions. My family and friends’ opinions are the most important to me, and I was afraid by coming out to them that their perceptions of me would have been skewed in some way.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHO COME OUT?
Do not be afraid to come out. Coming out is a scary, yet invigorating process. For the most part, it can be a positive experience, so do not be afraid to do so!
THOUGHTS FOR NON-LGBT PEOPLE ABOUT LGBT PEOPLE AND CONCERNS:
Just to be respectful. Lots of non-LGBT people do not realize how important sexual orientation can be, because they do not have to deal with issues concerning their sexual orientation. My advice is to be respectful and try to be considerate of other people's struggles.
