WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT?
It is important to be out so you can feel comfortable with who you are. Many people judge because they do not understand and assume that not many people are LGBT. Whether we are minority or majority, we are still people with thoughts, feelings, aspirations, family, and friends.  It is important for us to show that we are comfortable with who we are and that they have all the reason to be comfortable with us as well.
WHY ARE YOU “PROUD”?  WHAT ARE YOU MOST “PROUD” OF?
I am proud of everyone who stands up for themselves when being "oppressed" and I am proud of people who work for the equality of LGBT people.  I am proud of those who confront and educate those who use terms that are used as descriptors of LGBT people as if they are derogatory terms.  I am proud of being comfortable with myself after coming out and for developing into a better person because I have allowed myself to be naturally me.
WHAT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF COMING OUT?
The fear and rejection that may occur from family and friends. As well as deciding how to come out to different people.  Now I am happier because I came out and it is not such an issue. I am comfortable to speak freely of my relationship the same way someone who is heterosexual would, even at my jobs; e.g. My girlfriend and I went to the zoo this past weekend and a really nice restaurant afterwards.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHO COME OUT?
Be prepared - Do your research! There are many books that can help you come out to your family, friends and coworkers. Be comfortable and love yourself.  Everyone has a different experience and you should "test the waters" with those you want to tell before coming out. Most importantly, build a support group to help you along. BE YOURSELF!!! It will help you throughout your life.
THOUGHTS FOR NON-LGBT PEOPLE ABOUT LGBT PEOPLE AND CONCERNS:
Be supportive and understanding. Help prevent discrimination and do not be afraid to defend against ignorance. Help those who do not understand realize that LGBT people are that, people, and that they just love differently and should not be alarmed, especially since it likely has nothing to do with them.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Love yourself no matter what others tell you, whether it deals with an LGBT issue or other issue. Be a good person and take care of yourself in all ways.
