WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT or TO BE AN ALLY?
For me, it’s important to be an ally because there are so many ways to help. I always thought the LGBT community was for people who were LGBT. When I found out about being an ally, it was just something I wanted to do and learn more about.
WHY ARE YOU “PROUD”? WHAT ARE YOU MOST “PROUD” OF?
I’m proud to be in this community and helping. I’m proud because I’ve helped my residents deal with fears/concerns/questions about the LGBT community
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS WHO COME OUT?
Even though it’s a hard thing to do, there are always people there to help you through it.
THOUGHTS FOR NON-LGBT PEOPLE ABOUT LGBT PEOPLE AND CONCERNS:
Just because there are people out there with different lifestyles, that does not mean they aren’t people. They have feelings and problems and questions and concerns just like everyone else. Love them for who they are.
