WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE OUT or TO BE AN ALLY?
It is important to support people to be the best,true-to-themselves person they can be. Part of my role as an Ally is to sensitize my antennae to concerns related to the LGBT community, and to respond to issues on an individual, institutional or community level.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I enjoy the strength and visibility of the LGBT community at Ohio University. It makes me proud of the people who have mobilized voices to express concerns in order to make positive change on our campus.
