Education administration

The graduates of the Ohio University College of Education with degrees in Educational Administration will be agents of positive change for diverse individuals, groups, schools, organizations and societies.
Graduates will be:

• They will use knowledge of effective school and organizational practices to provide effective programs for students or other clients.
  
• They will apply knowledge of research-based approaches when they design practices to promote school or organizational outcomes, such as student learning or client satisfaction.
  
• They will design and implement comprehensive professional growth plans for employees and/or clients.

• They will understand the larger social context in which schools and other human service organizations are situated.
  
• They will respond to the larger social context in order to promote justice in the allocation of benefits and services and in the acquisition of valued outcomes.
  
• They will influence the larger social context on behalf of the just distribution of social benefits and services.

• They will engage in planning, decision-making, and problem-solving that promotes a positive culture in the schools or organizations in which they work.
  
• They will act ethically, fairly, and with integrity.

• They will develop, articulate, implement and steward a vision for their schools or organizations.
  
• They will promote the involvement of constituents, clients, or other community members in the process of shaping a worthy school or organizational vision.
• They will manage an organization, its operations, personnel, and material resources.
  
• They will collaborate with constituents, clients, families, and other community members.
  
• They will respond to the interests and needs of constituents, clients, families, and other community members.
  
• They will mobilize community resources on behalf of worthy organizational aims.

• They will continually advance their knowledge of effective practices for schools and other human service organizations.

• They will develop, implement, and evaluate the use technology as a leadership tool for accurate and complete data used in decision making and dissemination of information to all constituent groups.
  
• They will promote the development, implementation, and evaluation of technology as an instructional tool for teachers and students.
  
• They will ensure that technology is utilized in an ethical, fair, and legal mannert.

• They will use research and assessment techniques in a professional and ethical manner.
  
• They will provide excellent quality results that demonstrate the status of students and teachers to a broad audience.
