Presenters include faculty and students from both the Athens and regional campuses and from diverse disciplines, and their presentation topics are equally wide-ranging.
We will have the opportunity to learn about learning-centered pedagogies in all stages of development from outstanding Ohio University scholars, including Presidential Teacher awardees, University Professors, and Distinguished Professors.
What is my role? How long should I present?
There are three formats to choose from: poster sessions, concurrent session and class demos.
- Poster sessions (15-30 minutes with repeats)
Informal, drop-in poster sessions will be held on Thursday throughout the day and Friday morning, allowing conferees to share campus experiences with colleagues on a one-to-one basis.
- Concurrent sessions (50-60 minutes)
These are more formal than poster sessions and usually include an opportunity for audience participation.
- Class demos (50-60 minutes)
These toolbox events are aimed to help participants develop the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct their own use of a particular pedagogy or technology. These events will operate on a smaller, workshop-style format so that the discussion can be tailored to the interests of those attending.
Who is the target audience?
The University community in general with faculty is the primary audience for this event. Students and staff are also welcome.
