SINGING AUDITIONS
Prepare 16-32 bars of a song from the musical; use as much range as possible. The song should be choreographed or staged. If you are auditioning for a specific role, choose a song that the character sings in the show. If you are auditioning for the chorus/dancer, sing one of the production/chorus numbers in the show. An accompanist will be provided. Sing the song
in the original key. No A Capella Singing! The vocal score for the musical will be on reserve in March at the OUL library for your viewing.

DANCE AUDITIONS
The dance auditions will follow your vocal auditions and be done in groups. You must complete the vocal audition AND the dance auditions to be cast in the show. Dress appropriately for the dance audition: dance attire, character shoes, sweats, t-shirts, etc. You will be taught 16-32 bars of choreography.
Women should wear character shoes or a comfortable heel, and a solid colored leotard, an above-the-knee skirt, or dance tights. Men should wear jazz or soft dress shoes, a form-fitting white-colored t-shirt or tank, sweat pants, jazz pant or tights. No shorts or bulky, oversized sweatpants. Tennis shoes or sneakers should be avoided.
All races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. Please arrive early for warm-ups.

SCRIPTS
The libretto/script and vocal book is on reserve at the OUL library.

AUDITION TIPS
