August 12, 2014 : Ohio University Lancaster Named FMC Certified Healthy Business

Lancaster – Ohio University Lancaster is now a Fairfield Medical Center Certified Healthy Business.  OUL was one of 17 area businesses given the certification earlier this summer. An FMC Certified Healthy Business has committed to champion the health of its employees by offering opportunities for physical activity, nutrition, and behavior changes.

“It’s an honor for Ohio University Lancaster to get this recognition,” said OUL Interim Community and Corporate Learning Director Ron Cullums. “Our regional campus believes in encouraging employees to be healthy and have active life styles in any way we can.”

Cullums attended the recognition event and accepted the award on behalf of OUL.

“Our program was developed with the goal of promoting healthy work environments in Fairfield County,” said Jennifer Hellmich, RD, LD, assistant manager of Nutrition Services and chairperson of FMC’s Certified Healthy Business committee. “As a nutrition professional, I am proud to recognize the efforts of local businesses that are striving to help their employees improve their health and well-being.”
