Students in Alpha Phi Omega at Ohio University Lancaster spent their Saturday night wrapping gifts for their annual Adopt-a-Family. Members of APO donated presents for a local family in need. Vice President of Service Sarah Secoy made a list and checked it twice, making sure that all family members would have many gifts under the tree this year.
APO President Cole Willis said this is an important annual event for APO.
"Our motto is 'Be a Leader, Be a Friend, Be of Service," said Willis. "Alpha Phi Omega is dedicated to fulfilling our motto. This is our second annual Adopt-a-Family, of which we are pleased to help provide a Merry Christmas to those that are less fortunate."
This year's family included a mother, grandmother, and three children. Many of APO's members said being a Secret Santa to someone made them feel more festive this holiday season.
