Financial Aid

Financial Aid

Are you worried that you may not be able to pay for college?
The U.S. Department of Labor estimates that the average college graduate will earn $1 million more in his or her working life than the average high school graduate.

Many sources of financial aid are available to help you. Last year, Ohio University Lancaster Campus|Pickerington Center distributed approximately $1 million in federal dollars to students who couldn't afford college on their own.  Applications for these funds are available at www.fafsa.gov.  The OU-Lancaster campus also awarded approximately $250,000 in scholarship funds. Locally, the Fairfield County Foundation and Fairfield County Scholarship Trusts offer scholarships that may make the difference between being able to attend college or not.  Several of these scholarships are specific to Ohio University Lancaster or our Athens campus.   Combined with existing federal financial aid, these scholarships can make the difference - you can start college in the fall to create a better and more secure future.  You can also visit these additional websites for various types of financial assistance: www.fairfieldcountyfoundation.org; www.fairfieldcountyscholarships.com; and www.fastweb.com.
