Dr. Linda Trautman, associate professor of political science, presented at the 2015 Midwest Political Science Association conference in Chicago. She presented research on the “Contemporary Challenges of Voting Rights: Consequences of Felon Disenfranchisement”. In addition, she chaired a panel on “The Impact of Voter ID Laws on Political Participation”.
Paul Young, Debra Dunning, Terri Green, and Rachel Longnecker presented at AURCO 2015. They talked about the "Lunch and Learn" seminar series that takes place on campus in a central meeting room each week to help inform education majors about current events and to form and develop strong relationships with each other, their faculty mentors, the community and inter-generational retired teachers who serve as unbiased mentors.
Kirsten Dewese is one of the Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Students of the Month for April. Kirsten is a member of the OUL Coordinating Council. She works in the OUL Dean's Office, Welcome Desk and Testing Center. Kirsten assists in coaching Fairfield Christian Academy's volleyball team.
Joseph Frilling is one of the Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Students of the Month for April. Joseph has earned 11 Military Awards. He volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Foundation Dinners. Joseph also made the OUL Dean's List.
Library Director Judy Carey Nevin was elected to be a board member at large for the Academic Library Association of Ohio. The two-year term starts in July.
Dr. Mark Nevin, assistant professor of history, is presenting a paper called "Polling Matters: Public Opinion Polling, Pollsters, and the 1968 Presidential Election" at the "Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association National Conference."
