Lancaster Campus

Welcome to the Ohio University Lancaster Campus. Ohio University Lancaster offers the academic foundation of a request more infouniversity education, the convenience of a small campus setting, the affordability of state-assisted tuition, and relevant education for today's competitive job market. We also provide convenience throughout Fairfield County by offering students the option to attend classes on the Lancaster Campus or Pickerington Center. Situated on 113 acres on the northern edge of Lancaster, the campus serves students from throughout central Ohio. A variety of associate's and bachelor's degree programs can be completed on the Lancaster Campus. Ohio University also offers more than 250 majors, which you can begin in Lancaster or Pickerington and finish in Athens, at another regional campus or online.


Dr. Linda Trautman, Assistant Professor of Political Science, was recognized as the campus Phi Theta Kappa Professor of Year at the June 2011 Honors Convocation in Lancaster. Dr. Trautman teaches a variety of courses in American politics. She researches and is professionally active in the areas of political socialization, redistricting and electoral and legislative politics.

Dr. Linda Trautman, associate professor of political science, is presenting a paper and serving on a panel at the Southern Political Science Association Annual Conference this month. The conference is being held in New Orleans, Louisiana.


Michael Ashton

Welcome Michael Ashton!  Ashton recently accepted the position of Lecturer of Human Services Technology.  Ashton received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee and his Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.  He is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with the State of Ohio. Ashton brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our campus from his previous positions at New Horizons Mental Health Center and The Recovery Center. 

cassie grimes

Cassie Grimes is one of the Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Students of the Month for January. Cassie is a Communication Studies major and the service officer of Phi Theta Kappa. She is also vice president of membership of Alpha Phi Omega.

Tyler Holcomb

Tyler Holcomb is one of the Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Students of the Month for January. Tyler is a Law Enforcement Technology/Criminal Justice major. He has a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  Tyler works at Menards and was selected for Service Hero.


Middle Childhood Education Associate Professor Kaye Martin is attending the Association of Teacher Educators Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ. She is making two presentations at the conference.


Associate Professor of Psychology Patrick Munhall is attending the Society for Personality and Social Psychology conference in Long Beach, California.  He will learn about the latest research in Social Psychology.
