OUL Communication Studies Professor Candice Thomas-Maddox attended the 100th National Communication Association Convention in Chicago. She presented twice and was appointed to the NCA Task Force on K-12 Communication Curriculum Standards.
Nicole Shipley is one of the Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Students of the Month for December. Nicole is a Law Enforcement Technology major and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is also a volunteer for New Lexington girls basketball camps.
Jesse Crook is one of the Ohio University Lancaster | Pickerington Students of the Month for December. Jesse is a Communication Studies major. Jesse is a 4-H Camp Counselor and very involved in the OUL Theatre program.
Ohio University Lancaster Assistant Professor of History Ping-Yuan Wang had her second book chapter come out in September: “Neither ex officio nor ex gratia: The Brussels Visitandines’ Discourses of Authority and Collective Identity,” in Mulieres Religiosae: Shaping Female Spiritual Authority in the Medieval and Early Modern Periods, eds. Veerle Fraeters and Imke de Gier. Turnhout, Belgium: Brepols, 2014: 265-285. In October, she presented a paper on a panel at the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference in New Orleans.
OUL Adjunct Art Instructor Trisha Clifford-Sprouse has a new show at the Fairfield County District Library. The show called "Sculptural Books and Paintings" ends January 8.
