BE BOLD - Trimble

The focus of the “Be Bold” project is the belief that children and families who acquire the knowledge and motivation they need to make wise decisions about their eating habits and physical activity are much more likely to develop healthy lifestyles and maintain them over the course of their lifetimes. The Reading Lab will continue to focus on developing reading skills, and include writing and critical thinking activities. We take field trips most Fridays, and like to work with community agencies, community members and others who provide programming to children.

BE BOLD - Federal Hocking

With a similar focus to the Be Bold - Trimble program, Federal Hocking students will be engaged in three summer learning tracks: cooking, gardening and academic enrichment.  Working with community agencies, community members and others who provide programming to children, middle and high school students will enjoy an educational, hands-on summer program.  Because of a partnership with Community Food Initiatives, we will be organic gardening, visiting local farmers and producers and learning healthy cooking skills by preparing our own meals. Our goals are to make wise decisions about eating habits and physical activity levels.
