Tips for new international students
Immigration registration sign-up instructions - coming soon
New international students arrival - Fees and details
All new students must complete immigration registration with ISFS during orientation or immediately after arrival for any late arrivals. Details for Spring 2014 will be provided in November. You must bring your passport, I-94, and your I-20 or DS-2019 with you to the office. If you have brought family members with you, you must also bring their documents with you when you come complete immigration registration.
Temporary housing will be available for new students who will be living on campus for Fall 2013. Reservations are required. Contact Residential Housing. Go to http://www.facilities.ohiou.edu/housing/rs/index.html or email email@example.com for more information or to make a reservation.
For students that will not be living on campus for Fall 2013, temporary housing on campus is not available. We suggest that you contact the OU Inn - 866-593-6661. Let them know that you are a new student. If there are no rooms available at the OU Inn, there are several other hotels in town that you can contact. A list of hotels is available from the Athens County Convention and Visitor's Bureau - http://www.athensohio.com/wheretostay/hotels.
A few students have not yet received the I-20 or DS-2019. That is usually because the Admissions Office needs further documentation from you. Please take care of the missing papers and wait to receive your I-20 or DS-2019 before trying to come to Ohio University.
Things to Remember:
Have travelers’ checks in U.S. dollars for your immediate expenses.
