Evaluation Questions

The assessment committee is in the process of developing an instrument to use in evaluating the reports. Below are questions that have been formulated by the committee as we complete our task.

Questions to evaluate assessment procedures:

  1. Evidence of faculty involvement in the assessment process?
  2. Existence of clearly stated mission statement or goals for student learning?
  3. Quality and appropriateness of assessments methods in place:
    • clearly defined
    • appropriate to the outcome that is being assessed
    • multiple methods
    • systematically applied
  4. Was assessment information collected in a systematic, useful manner?
  5. Was assessment information analyzed?
  6. What actions resulted from the assessment information?
    • logical result of the information acquired
    • meaningful enhancement to learning process
  7. Impact of assessment process on missions/goals?
  8. Impact of assessment information on the assessment methods used?
  9. How are the activities and results verifiable?
  10. Is there evidence of integration of mission, goals, and assessment activities?
