The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and Management (ETM) program combines technical courses with courses in general education, quantitative sciences, natural sciences, and business management to prepare graduates for technical-management positions in manufacturing industries.

The engineering technology and management program is accredited by the ATMAE.

Engineering Technology and Management graduates have a high rate of success because they have:

  • Been prepared as technical generalists, with knowledge of a wide variety of technical subjects
  • Hands-on lab experience; most courses require up to 50 percent of scheduled time using real-world materials and equipment
  • A minor in business; the required core of business/management courses provide the background needed in today’s industrial world.

Engineering Technology and Management graduates demonstrate professionalism through the professional and technical competencies identified by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. These competencies coincide with the educational mission of the Department of Engineering Technology and Management.
