ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR – Stephan D. Call, M.S.

Hi! I'm Steve Call, an instructor in and the Director of the Travel and Tourism Department at Ohio University's Southern Campus. I bring close to 20 years of travel sales experience in the "real world" to our classroom. I've owned and operated a successful travel agency, been a tour guide, trained travel counselors, worked the hotel front desk, thrown bags onto airplanes, checked passengers in at the airport ticket counter and much, much more. I hope to share these business and travel experiences with you when they relate to the topic at hand.

And in the role of a travel professional, I've been lucky to visit all the continents except Antarctica; and I have no overwhelming urge to visit there soon. So I have a wealth of personal experiences with different cultures, politics, cuisine, shopping, and physical conditions.

I've been in the travel classroom for over 6 years, at a proprietary school, a community college, and now, at Ohio University Southern Campus. I truly enjoy teaching you about the fascinating Travel and Tourism industry and preparing you to embark on an exciting career.

My educational background includes a B.S. in Education and History from the Ohio State University and a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University. As far as travel education, I'm a Certified Cruise Counselor, an Institute of Certified Travel Agents Destination Specialist, a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge, and have completed too many more industry training seminars to mention.
