The envelope graphic indicates that the course has an e-mail lesson submission option.
   
The paper graphic indicates that lesson assignments may be submitted as attached documents by e-mail. The assignments are printed by IDL staff, then forwarded to the instructor. Graded assignments are returned as printed copy by postal mail.
   
The computer graphic indicates that the course requires access to a computer. This may include access to the World Wide Web. Detailed computer requirements are contained in the course description.
   
The book graphic indicates that the course has a supplementary readings book or other print material. If the material is required, the cost is included in the tuition column. If the material is optional, the cost is listed under "Optional Fees" and must be added to the total tuition.
   
The headphone graphic indicates that the course has supplementary audiotape materials. If the audiotapes are required, the cost is included in the tuition column. If the audiotapes are optional, the cost is listed under "Optional Fees" and must be added to the total tuition.
   
The videotape graphic indicates that the course has supplementary videotape materials. If the videotapes are required, the cost is included in the tuition column. If the videotapes are optional, the cost is listed under "Optional Fees" and must be added to the total tuition.
