LESSONS AND WRITING ASSIGNMENTS: The course has 10 lessons, including 2 supervised examinations. Each regular lesson has a submitted assignment consisting of problems from the relevant chapter(s) of the text.
EXAMINATIONS: The course has two examinations, each covering four lessons. The examinations are "open book," which means that notes, books, outlines, etc., are permitted. However, the student will only have time to use these materials to find tabled values, use formulas, or check a fact or two. The student will not have time to look up answers or find references for specific questions.

If you reside near an Ohio University campus, you must take your examination at the nearest campus. Others can arrange to have their examinations proctored at another accredited college or university or, if it is more convenient, at an accredited local high school. Ohio University reserves the right to reject a proposed examination supervisor. Detailed information about examination procedures will be included with your enrollment material. Examinations may not be taken online nor by e-mail.
