|
| NUMBER OF LESSONS: There are nine lessons, including a midcourse and a final examination. |
| TYPES
OF WRITING ASSIGNMENTS:
There will be questions to answer based on the plays. Answers
to the questions should be derived from the student's own conclusions,
based on a close reading of the literary "evidence." Remember
that individual opinion is more important and that the student
will be judged on how well he or she makes a case for beliefs
held. The written assignments should be a good review for the
student. |
EXAMINATIONS:
There
will be two-hour, supervised midcourse and final examinations.
The midcourse will include work covered to that point, while
the final will cover work from the entire course, although concentrating
on plays studied since the midcourse examination.
If you reside near an Ohio University campus, you must take your examination at the nearest campus. Others can arrange to have their examinations proctored at another accredited college or university or, if it is more convenient, at an accredited local high school. Ohio University reserves the right to reject a proposed examination supervisor. Detailed information about examination procedures will be included with your enrollment material. Examinations may not be taken online nor by e-mail. | | GRADING CRITERIA: The student's work for the course will be evaluated according to the grade on the regular lessons, and the two examinations. However, the examination grades will count slightly more than the regular lessons. | | ENROLLMENT INFORMATION: Active Terms: Not term-based; self-paced study. Five months to finish.
Registration Dates: Enroll at any time.
