NATURE OF THE EXAMINATION
You will have three hours to complete the examination. All materials you
will need will be provided; you are not permitted to use books, notes,
or supplementary aids. The examination will consist of both objective
and essay questions.
The ten essay questions
are of two typesone type requires you to solve a problem by giving
the legal reasons for a decision and recognizing the legal issues involved;
the other type requires you to discuss major concepts presented in the
reading material. The essay section is worth 50 points.
The objective section is worth 160 points and contains multiple-choice,
true/false, and matching questions. The questions emphasize commercial
paper, but questions also cover the remainder of the course as well.

GRADING CRITERIA
Your total points on the examination will be converted to a percent. The
final grade will be assigned on the following scale:
