| Course Overview: Forty hours ground instruction covering various navigation systems and procedures, aircraft radios and communications, instrument flying, and air traffic control procedures. Includes functions of ATC centers, approach control, towers, and flight service stations. FAA regulations included. Meets all requirements for instrument pilot written exam. |

| Number of Lessons: The course has twelve lessons including two supervised examinations. |

| Types of Writing Assignments: Each of the ten regular lessons contain multiple-choice quizzes which the student completes and submits for evaluation. |

Examinations: This course requires 2 supervised examinations. The format of both examinations is the same--multiple-choice questions.
If you reside near an Ohio University campus, you must take your examination at the nearest campus. Others can arrange to have their examinations proctored at another accredited college or university or, if it is more convenient, at an accredited local high school. Ohio University reserves the right to reject a proposed examination supervisor. Detailed information about examination procedures will be included with your enrollment material. Examinations may not be taken online nor by e-mail. |

Criteria: Your
final grade will be based on the following factors:

67 - 69 = D+
63 - 66 = D
60 - 62 = D-
