Preliminary Transcript Evaluation

Some students may benefit from a preliminary transcript evaluation. This service is available for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. (This fee is deducted from your application fee if you decide to apply for admission to our program.)

If you have a large amount of transfer hours (90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours) and are comparing Ohio University with other programs, then you may want to consider requesting a preliminary evaluation.

What we will do

We will complete a transcript evaluation and send you the results. You will receive a page that shows the courses we will accept and what Ohio University course each is equated to, a worksheet with an overview of what general education and degree requirements are completed with transfer credit, and a summary of hours remaining.

Due to the nature of the BSS, it is not possible for us to provide you with a checklist of courses you need to complete as you will need to be involved in the process of creating your degree plan.

If you have questions about your evaluation, you can call and speak with the advisor who sen t you the evaluation. We will have your information on file and be able to discuss your options with you.
