Also known as ecstasy, X ATC, Adam, clarity & lovers speed
MDMA, or ecstasy, is similar to the stimulant amphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline. It is odorless and colorless, often taken with alcohol in liquid form. Ecstasy can also be snorted, injected or smoked.
Effects
- increased stimulation (sometimes used by dancers/bodybuilders)
- dehydration
- hypertension
- heart or kidney failure
- confusion
- depression
- anxiety
- paranoia
Long Term Effects
- Damage to serotonin-producing neurons, resulting in memory impairment
- May block or cause difficulty with orgasm and may prevent erection in some men
- Use is especially harmful if you have heart disease, hypertension, pregnancy, diabetes and epilepsy.
