Also known as smack, junk, brown sugar, thunder & horse.

Heroin is an opioid narcotic made from the poppy seed.  It is a bitter tasting white-to- brown powder.  Heroin can be injected, snorted or smoked.

Effects
  • limits the body's perception of pain
  • dry mouth
  • warm flushing of the skin
  • heavy extremities
  • slowed breathing
Long Term Effects
  • feeling alternately awake and drowsy
  • constipation
  • weight loss
