Physicals
The Student Health Service can accommodate the majority of your needs for physical exams. We complete physicals for SCUBA, the Physical Therapy Department, Military Science, ROTC, and childcare courses.
Depending on their complexity, other types of physical exams might also be performed through SHS. Such physical exams require prior approval. Register at the desk in the lobby of Hudson Health Center and your request will be reviewed by the triage staff.
Please bring all necessary documents, or list of requirements for the exam, along with the actual physical form that must be completed.
Several physicals require review of immunization dates. Please obtain documentation of these dates prior to your visit to SHS (if you expect that your immunization data is in your SHS medical chart, you can call the Medical Record Department (740-593-1660) for confirmation. If you are unsure of the need to show proof of your immunization dates on the physical form, please call the academic office offering the course).
Many physicals require that you have a TB skin test. You must have this completed prior to having your physical exam. Please check with your department if you are unsure of this requirement. TB skin tests are given on Tuesdays in Room 235 from 8 - 11:30 AM and 1 - 4 PM. You must then return on Friday the same week to have a nurse look at the skin injection site. Please note, if a TB skin test is a requirement of a physical, and you do not have the test results with you, the physical will not be completed.
