It is the mission of the Student Health Service to assist students in achieving their academic and career goals by maintaining optimal health.
We believe that by sharing responsibility with our students for their physical and emotional well-being, stressing education and prevention, and helping them become well informed about their bodies we can help them make appropriate and healthy life choices.
We believe that by providing high quality primary health care at a low cost, we can best respond to the needs of our diverse population.
Student Eligibility
All Ohio University undergraduate, graduate and medical students who are enrolled for one or more credit hours can receive services at the SHS. You do NOT need to be enrolled in the Ohio University Student Insurance Plan to use SHS. You are able to use SHS because fees you pay with your tuition cover the cost. You are eligible during the winter intersession if you are enrolled for the following winter quarter.
You are eligible during the summer if you are enrolled for the following fall quarter.

Monday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Wednesday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Thursday 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
We remain open with reduced hours during periods when the University is open but classes are not in session.
The medical clinic for the Student Health Service is operated on a walk-in basis. We sign in new patients until 4:30 p.m. After that time if you have an urgent or emergency medical condition, you will be directed to an outside clinic or the hospital emergency department.
Location
The Student Health Service is located on the first floor of Hudson Health Center. It is building 35 on the campus map and located on the North Green, behind Trisolini House and next to Glidden Music Building. You can find us on the campus map here: Hudson Health Center.
