Pension reform recommendations for the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) and the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) have been approved by the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate and signed into law by Governor Kasich. The reforms mandated by the law could be in effect as early as January 7, 2013. These reforms may have an impact on your retirement benefits.
University Human Resources has arranged for OPERS and STRS representatives to hold a series of Town Hall meetings on the reforms. The meetings are scheduled as follows:

STRS: October 10, 2012

STRS webinars are every Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Registration for each webinar is limited to 100 people. Registration can be taken until 4:30 p.m. on the day of the session.
