Classified Staff Eligible for Interim Base Wage Adjustment Effective April 14, 2008, in addition to Administrative Staff, Classified Staff are eligible for an interim base wage adjustment of up to 4% of base pay, per the parameters outlined below:
Recognition of an employee:
- that has sustained exceptional performance over an extended period of time,
- that has clearly demonstrated the acquisition of new competencies,
- due to the following:
o An employee accepting new duties that do not rise to the level of an upgrade or promotion via JIQ/PDQ review, but are worth rewarding,
o An employee assuming a critical volume of workload that is not necessarily more “valuable” from a job analysis perspective, but is worth rewarding,
o Other extenuating circumstances that warrant a review of their wage, including retention, wage compressions, equity, and etc.
The Supervisor should present a business case to the appropriate planning unit head for concurrence and submitted to UHR for approval. Review the salary guidelines for more information.
