On April 30, 2007, University Human Resources issued a temporary suspension of all classified non-bargaining employment activity in order to administer the displacement process associated with classified position reductions anticipated with projected budget cuts. This suspension was extended through July 31 in anticipation of budget reductions and the possibility of further staffing reductions.

Effective August 1, the suspension will be lifted as no further classified non-bargaining staffing reductions have been identified.  All classified non-bargaining employment functions such as posting vacancies and requesting classified job audits may resume regular activity at that time.  We appreciate your patience and cooperation through this period. The temporary employment suspension allowed UHR the necessary time to administer the process mandated by university policy and civil service law for classified non-bargaining position abolishment.
