The annual benefits open enrollment period has now begun.
This year's benefits open enrollment will be conducted online. All employees are asked to participate in the open enrollment process.
During open enrollment, employees:
The open enrollment period will close at 11:59 PM Friday May 17, 2013. Any enrollment decisions you make will be effective July 1, 2013.
The major components of the university's health, dental, and vision plans (deductibles, copays, benefit levels, etc.) for faculty, administrators and classified staff are remaining the same for fiscal/plan year 2013-14. While the salary brackets will readjust, the PPO, HMO and Dental premiums will remain stable for the upcoming year.
As a reminder, Federal healthcare legislation allows employees to provide healthcare coverage to their children up to age 26 regardless of financial dependence, student status, or marital status. Coverage includes Medical, Prescription and Vision. Dental coverage also available.
Under Ohio law, employees can purchase healthcare (medical & prescription ONLY) coverage for eligible children between the ages 26 and 28, for an additional premium. You will use your OHIO university email ID and password to enter the open enrollment web site. You can log in to the open enrollment web site as many times as you wish, and make changes at any time through the May 17th deadline. Please save or print your confirmation statement following the authorization page, this will be your only record of completion.
The Benefits Office
